The study was done to determine the effects of exercise program (zumba, taichi and walking) on the heart rate, peripheral oxygen saturation and random blood sugar of the subjects. It was also done to provide a scientific basis on the claim that each blood type has developed with its own needs and thus will have different reactions to an exercise program tailored for a particular blood type. Overweight allied health students with blood types A, B, and O were asked to participate in the study. Each blood type exercise program was performed three times per week for two week duration with a two week washout period in between each exercise program. Results show that there is no significant difference on the health parameters regardless of blood types after the program. Our results cannot support the claims about validity of blood type exercise program on the basis of health parameters considered in the study.
